Some friends asked us, this Sunday, to go out to a park, near our town at Bazos. It was a nice, sunny day and we loved the idea of getting out in nature. We packed the food in a few minutes and in half an hour we arrived. We walked for a while in the park to spot the best place for our picnic..near a blossom, this was one of my requests, I needed to stay under the sun, near a blossom in a quiet place after the long long winter. It was not an easy thing, we had to make half the tour of the park to find the perfect place. In our way we spotted a small farm with cute, big, fluffy, white rabbits, lots of places to harvest fresh wild garlic and nettles. We laid our blanket in a nice meadow near not one, but lots of blossom white trees, that will be our place there, from now on. We had fresh veggies, including wild garlic harvested on spot and whole wheat bread with virgin sun flower oil, salt and yeast flakes. You may not have heard about these yeast flakes, they might sound strange, but you should know that they have a similar taste with Parmesan Italian cheese, I even find them tastier and they have lots and lots of various amino acids, that are the bricks for your body to create proteins, I would call them quality proteins! So I use them on many, many foods, like baked vegetables, pasta or different sauces. After the large and well deserved meal we laid under the sun and waited hours to pass…Some threatening clouds kept on coming and going, for a while there were so many of them, it started raining and we didn’t see much of a chance for the return of the good weather, but still it did, and we continued to have a blast near the blossom trees. After the sunset
we went to harvest wild garlic. It wasn’t the nicest experience…about 15 barking dogs ran just near the place we started to harvest, we were lucky they didn’t see us, but they surly destroyed our pleasant stay. So letting this aside, this place called Bazos, near our town Timisoara, is a great way to escape from the city’s bustle. Did I mention our friends? Well they couldn’t come, but we thanked them for getting us out :)) when we later visited them, talking and having fun till late at night. Such a nice day!
