Topping
• 3 tablespoons(60g) butter
• 2 cups whole grain flour
• 1/4 cup oatmeal(not instant)
• 4 tablespoon sugar
• 1/2 cup walnuts
• 0.8oz(30g) of dark chocolate (from the fridge)
• vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• a pinch of salt
• somewhere between 1/4 and 1/2 cup milk
• zest from 1 lemon
Filling
• 3/4 cups of sugar
• 2 tbs whole grain flour
• 6 cups(2.2 pounds or 1 kg) of fresh blueberries (frozen works, too)
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/4 tsp gloves powder
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• 2 teaspoons lemon juice


Mix the flour, oatmeal, sugar,baking powder, salt in a bowl with a spoon or in food processor. Mix the walnuts and chocolate in a blender, then add to the rest of the dry ingredients. Add the butter and mix, then add the milk, vanilla extract, the lemon zest.

First about the tray, I used 2 trays as you see in the pictures because I’ve made a higher quantity of topping, but I advise you to use the filling quantity for only one portion because I really felt the blueberries filling was too little. So use one deep(I mean really deep) tray, because the filling will run out when bubbling in the oven, so make sure to leave enough free space(like 3 fingers or so). Now grease the tray(I used ceramic), then add the mixed ingredients from the filling. If you don’t have all the spices, it’s ok, it’s very good without them too. Then add the topping in chunks like in the picture below.

Bake in the oven at 400F(190 C) for 30-35 minutes.
