Billowing sleeves set in Zakynthos

I prepared a 2 in 1 post for you guys, a travel and outfit related. I wanted to make something quick, with a couple of photos of my outfit, from one day of our holiday in Zakynthos, but it’s hard to talk solely of an outfit with such incredible places around, so I ended up doing even an extra video of this outfit that I also wore in Timisoara this summer.

Let me start with Zakynthos, which I was a little sceptical about. I’m not sure why, at first, I thought there wasn’t much to see besides the well known Navagio /Shipwreck beach, but in the end, this was one of the few places we actually weren’t to keen to visit, so we didn’t, because it is so exaggeratedly popular! I think half of the people from the island are on the beach itself, while the other half are at the viewpoint of this beach. For sure it is a beautiful place, but there are other amazing places on this island, as well..completely empty! So there’s no need to be fixed on Navagio beach. Unfortunately, for this reason, there’s nothing pleasant in a trip to Navagio beach.

We try to keep up with a schedule for each day of the trip, because otherwise it’s really hard to do something at all with 2 little kids, by the time we are ready to get out, they are ready for sleep :)) so after waisting a couple of days, going out and then returning home for their nap, instead the girls made their afternoon nap on the car, while getting to another place on the island, so we used to choose the second place to visit somewhere further , so they would get enough sleep. This actually saved half a day for us!

For this day we’ve planned a pleasant breakfast at Agios Nikolaos port, a small, but beautiful port with a couple of taverns. One of my favourite and most relaxing things to do while traveling is to have breakfast and dinner with amazing views. For the breakfast my favourite places for this island were somewhere by the sea on the east coast, while for dinner we would go on one of the amazing tavernas with the view of the west of the Zakynthos coastline by the sunset – something not to be missed! We didn’t get to have breakfast out too often, since out airbnb was a house with a huge astonishing garden with plenty of places to have our meals, surrounded by rosemary and pine scent, all for ourselves, what can be more wonderful than that? For this reason we used to spend our mornings chilling in this amazing garden.

But this morning we choose to have breakfast at To Nisi, a tavern with relaxing music and a variety of nice meals for breakfast. We especially enjoyed their To Nisi salad!

After breakfast we headed to the beach. Agios Nikolaos port has a nice beach as well, but we wanted to go somewhere more remote this day, so we choose Climati beach. This turquoise water beach was amazing to view and great for swimming as well!

After having fun at the beach, the girls got really tired, so it was time to plan another place to visit. Torre Veneziana is a place with ruins with one of the most beautiful views to the west coast, on the island. We got there little before sunset, so we had time to make some really beautiful photos. I choose to wear this 2 piece set from Aliexpress, I thought the exaggerated billowing sleeves would look so dramatic by the rocky, golden coasline, the ruin and the endless sea. I paired it with a wicker mini basket bag from Asos and hemp strap sandals. Straw, wicker bags were my favourite this summer, I think they are so versatile. I actually brought 2 with me for this trip and they worked so good with all of my outfits.

We planned to make a picnic in this place, but the food we brought was not very delicious, so we choose Cross taverna, one of the sunset tavernas for the dinner.
