Beautiful Medieval Music – Bridge of the Ancients
Saxon medieval dress
I’ve traveled quite a lot these weekends, and I’m so glad when I get the chance to show you the places I’ve visited. The trip to Rasnov Fortress was one of the nicest experiences I’ve had, one being that as you might have noticed I love castles together with all the stories with princesses and the medieval period, it sometimes makes me think that I was born in different era than I would have liked, though if I were to choose, of course something from the future would be much more fortunate, but surely not so dreamy and romantic, so it seems, as always, that if you get to win one thing you’d have to give up on other things. So maybe the times we live, somewhere in between might be the best, at least I always have this superstition, if I can call it so, that if something happens to me, whether it’s good or bad, it’s still the best for me, so as I’m not a religious person, this superstition is one of my strongest consolations. On Saturday, I was about to purchase 2 bags, one was broken and another one has just been bought by someone else in front of me, so I was quite sure it was meant to be that I didn’t buy any bag that day. I’m not quite sure how that would have changed my life, but it is so clear it was a sign, and I see that so often around me, as I ended taking things as they are, without bothering too much on what I want, what I think it’s good or bad, I try making the choices as I wish but at the same time I also let the things flow naturally.
Besides my love for castles, it was given that I’ve met the owner of a small museum at Rasnov, named Samo. Admiring his collection of medieval items, I stopped and starred at the ones that were of more interest for me, the clothing. One of the dresses was so pretty that I had the intention of buying it, Samo told me that his items are not for sales, but he invited me to try it on. The dress seemed like it was specially made for me, he liked it so much that he offered it to me to wear it during my visit to the fortress. I couldn’t be happier! I never had the chance to wear a veritable medieval dress. This is actually a Saxon wedding medieval dress, I’m not quite sure if it’s a dress for women guests or an actual bride’s dress, but either way it was so pretty and I fitted perfectly in that place, some people were even asking me if I was playing a role in there, or something of the kind. So dreamy, so pretty, I want that experience again now..

Congratulations! Your posts keep getting better and better! What’s the secret? :p
Hey Ana, thanks for the comment and appreciation. I think that the more I post, the more critical I become towards what I wear, how I pose, what photos I choose.. but still not to what I say, I am more permissive to that 🙂
This look is just beautiful! The dress suits you perfectly. In your prior posts and costumes you always look a little like a princess but this one reveals that you really are a true princess. Like Cinderella putting on the glass slipper revealed that she was the princess you putting on this dress reveals that you are truly a medieval princess. It goes beyond the dress as well, you write and observe life with such sensitivity and appreciation of your surroundings that you remind me of the good princess characters in stories like Hans Christian Anderson’s. Your posts are interesting and make me want to visit the places you write about as well. I always enjoy seeing your pretty outfits and the clothes you put together. You are refreshing and natural and I can tell you love life and humanity. keep writing and posting!
That is the nicest comment I’ve ever received, thank you so much, Tina! It really was so helpful after the awful moments I’ve been through lately..
Very beautiful
Any City
Thank you 🙂
