Hey, girls! I know it’s been quite some time now since my last post, that’s because I’ve been so busy traveling and visiting some friends in Vienna, shopping, going to thermals, please don’t hate me! haha. Although we’ve been passing through Vienna we never stopped, just because we thought that Vienna will surely be in our way when traveling in the future, for so many times! And we were not very wrong, as it seams the time for visiting Vienna had come 🙂 I have to tell you guys, if you haven’t been there, that Vienna as other big European cities has many things to offer, just take my advice and don’t run as crazy visiting all 1xx museum and other popular places just because everyone else that has been there has done that! Traveling it’s mainly about having fun! this is a good advice and it’s the thing I usually forget… I have to admit! Because I’m so super conscious and I usually want to make the most out of my trips, sometimes I feel like I have to do this and that, and not always that I really really am in the mood for doing all the things I’ve planed. So as I said I hadn’t planned many things that’s also because our friends Ela and Timotei that live in Vienna, were so nice to take us to the most interesting and fun places. So our trip in Vienna was about eating the famous huge traditional schnitzel at the famous Figlmuller, bathing, swimming and sauna, walking on the cold cold grass then sauna again, ahh don’t wake me please, I’m still dreamin’ at the relaxing place from the Thermalbad Oberlaa, of course no visit in Vienna is complete without going to the Opera or Theater – so yes we had our tickets for Traviata at the impressive State Opera, visiting the controversial temporary exhibition of the human dissected bodies from the Naturhistorisches Museum – the work of art of the Gunther Von Hagens surgeon, as I said it was controversial ..some liked it, others didn’t understand its purpose for the large public (either way you think, you have the option to pass over those photos or admire the artwork, nevertheless the exhibition had also the purpose to draw attention and inform people about the healthy habits and the means of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This exhibition is present on different cities around the world at this time, so if you like the idea don’t miss it!), the St. Stephen’s Cathedral where Mozart had married and where his funeral was also held, eating the best ice cream in my life at Tichy with all kinds of natural fruits and nuts, trying out sushi for the first time at Hanil where a rolling band full of goodies passing right in front our eyes offered us the possibility to try
so many everything from their cuisine, a visit to the Demel pastry although we thought we’ll try them the next days we didn’t have time for it, a visit to the Technisches Museum – mainly for my husband because he loves technology, shopping at Parndorf Outlet near Vienna some cute things you’ll see soon on my blog, and last but not list talking, shopping and having fun with our friends and the 2 chihuahuas they had Charlie and Pufi – these cute little things dethroned my cats..at least for the moment. You can’t imagine how cute they were, when we made up our bags to go to the thermal baths they would jump in our bags to show us they wanna come too :), then when we ate some crepes they would start shivering..this is how badly they desired what we would eat..although they were not allowed to eat this kind of things. Oh and I learned a new healthy and delicious pancake recipe from our friends in Vienna, it’s from Dukan’s diet and I’ll post it on the blog in the next posts :)..and as my friend Ela said you can make it every morning, it’s so versatile, you can make it sweet, salty, changing some ingredients as you prefer at that time..but more on this in the next post..as I said. So hoping I’ve made you just a little interested about our short trip to this wonderful European city I’ll let you go through a part of my traveling photos.
