I’m dedicating this post to a one of my sister’s friends, Liana, because whenever she didn’t like some of my posts or looks she was sincere enough to say it. As she is a true lady that appreciates real values, I don’t think she accepts easily human flaws. If humans were to have white, black and grey colors all together, she would choose the white, I think. And if she’d be choosing between modern and vintage, she would go for the latter, plus my vintage looking bolero, that is a present from my sister, was initially received as a present from Lili to her, so it’s a present present vintage item just because I loved it so much. This is why, I choose to dedicate it to her, and I think she’ll like it 🙂 Now I’m stuck on her name, Lili, I just love it, last night, it was Julieta, if once I had a baby girl it would be really hard to choose. And Radu had a dream a few days ago, something nice with me and a baby girl. I am so stunned by the coincidence :).
This was the look I wore this Saturday. It was a rainy day, so sorry for the frizzy hair, you probably understand how frustrating is to waste one hour making a nice hairdo with natural curls, and then all of the sudden some small, quick, innocent raindrops to ruin them in a second. This is how I felt during the shooting. But besides that is looking frizzy, I like the loose curls too.
I love to wear all types of cloths, I could never settle solely for one, so as much as I like the trendy items, I also enjoy wearing vintage looking items, it all depends on my mood. I already have a nice collection of vintage jewelry that I’ve gathered during the time. The gorgeous filigree cameo brooch from Victorian period and the “very ornate” watch pendant are just two of them.
I don’t always want to spend too much on vintage items, that some times can get quite expensive, this is when the vintage lookalike items are very welcomed, just like this cute bag, I found on Oasap(you can also find it on Ebay). Who would say it’s not really a vintage item? It’s nice to have the real vintage ones, but the replacement is sometimes necessary, right? And this is just another example of cheap items worn with style, it’s not always the price that makes the clothing or any other items look exquisite. The most important part when purchasing cheap items, it’s your own filtering standards, because you usually have to choose between lots of poor items. But the same stands when purchasing expensive items because expensive can sometimes look cheap as well.
What better makeup choice would be to go with vintage clothing than the classic cat eye and red lips look? and my frizzy hair again..
