The Byzantine art decorations of the Monasteries from Bucovina are featuring portraits of saints, scenes with angels and demons, heaven and hell. These churches are unique sites in Europe and some of them are included in UNESCO’s World Heritage. The frescos have as a dominant colour a special, intense shade of blue(especially the well known Voronet Monastery), also known as Voronet blue, but unfortunately the rain has vanished considerable parts of these paintings, still there is a mystery of how well they are preserved for centuries, from the reign of Stefan cel Mare in 15th-century.
