From Death Valley we continued our road trip through Sierra-Nevada Mountains to reach Yosemite National Park. The road should have been shorter and straight forward but our GPS calculated a tougher route through mountains and since it was dark already we didn’t realise it. We regretted that we couldn’t at least see this part of road through Sierra Nevada but mostly that we couldn’t take advantage of the hotel’s sauna and the outside pool for swimming. Most of the hotels we stayed in had pools and we used to swim every day, but it was so strange that usually we were alone in the pool, most of the travellers didn’t use them at all.
In Yosemite National Park there were so many trails and it took as some time to choose one. We’ve finally decided to take the strenuous Mist trail to reach Vernal and Nevada waterfalls. The views were amazing! My favourite was our final destination: the view from the top of Nevada Waterfall. We started the hiking a little too late and we had to return from the top, on complete dark. We were lucky, though, we had a flashlight and we didn’t meet any bears!
