Tudor Gheorghe – Dorul calator

I’m in love with this Romanian song, it gives me such a good vibe. Tudor Gheorghe has generally some of my favourite Romanian songs.
I get so much inspired from what I prepare for my little 10 months old, Juli. Since I got to taste everything I make for her, I felt in love for this type of food. Of course, the food for babies has to be healthy, nutritious, but also delicious, because you have to convince them to eat!

Main ingredients for her food and what I always have in the fridge are: fruits(fresh and dried), vegetable, seeds and all types of cereals. From these ingredients I usually prepare a mix for breakfast for her. I try to change the ingredients every day so she gets to eat various nutrients. Almost all combinations are very delicious and it’s so easy to make them. What I also love about this purees is that you don’t need fresh bread or milk, something that I very often run out of in the morning, since I don’t always have time for shopping. I would recommend you to use all fruits and veggies unpeeled as much as possible, for fibers intake. Also I alternate between the various types of cereals: quinoa, wheat, oatmeal, chia, etc. For this puree I’ve used buckwheat, that has a very distinctive taste, which I love in sour but also in sweet meals.

The ingredients I used for this puree are(of course you can alternate):
• 1/2 carrot
• 1/2 pear
• 1/2 apple
• 1 tangerine
• 1 kiwi
• 1 tbs of dried cranberries
• 1/3 cups walnuts
• 1/3 cups cooked buckwheat or buckwheat flakes

I used a hand mixer to blend them well. This is Julieta’s favourite meal and Radu love it as well. Our breakfast included a large bowl of this puree and a hot milk with coffee. Deeeelicious!
